Hi, I'm Valeria Finardi

Founder of this project, “retired” dreadmaker
and today an expert in synthetic fibres.

I was born in 1998, raised in Northern Italy,
with a degree in Economics and Management
and a path that, on paper, seemed to take me elsewhere.

But hair has always been a part of my life,
even in the most difficult moments.

As a young man I developed alopecia .
I couldn't work on my hair like I wanted,
so I started working on other people's .

And that's where I found my way.

MY TEN-YEAR FIELD EXPERIENCE

Making dreadlocks on others has become my way
to transform an obsession into competence .

Over the years I have worked with many different fibers
and, like many other dreadmakers,
I've been running into a constant problem:

Finding the right material was tricky.

Suppliers often talked about chemical processes,
of technical data sheets that are difficult to understand,
but almost never of actual use.

Many times I thought the problem was me.
That I was doing something wrong.

The truth was something else:
I was using the wrong fiber.

WHY IS THIS SHOP DIFFERENT?

This is the first shop in Italy for dreadmakers designed by a dreadmaker.

It was not created to sell “a type of fibre”.
It was created to help you understand which fiber to choose and why.

I don't want to limit myself to selling kanekalon, henlon, or other synthetic fibers.
I want you to know what you're buying, like that fiber performs
and whether it is suitable for what you need to do, even before purchasing .

Here the approach is clear

  • Not all fibers are created equal

  • More expensive does not automatically mean better

  • A problem is not always the fault of the worker

  • Getting informed avoids mistakes, hassles and frustration

A conscious choice changes everything.
In the result. In the work. In the experience.

WHERE I SHARE MY EXPERIENCE

I have an Instagram profile dedicated exclusively to dreadlocks education
and on synthetic fibres.

I speak simply about:

  • common bad choices

  • differences between fibers

  • discomfort and irritation

  • how to orient yourself without confusion

No complicated terms.
No judgment.
Just clarity.
